New fireworks show called “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular”

During the party a brand-new fireworks spectacular called Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, Disney revealed Wednesday. In the show, Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas will play host, telling a “not-so-scary tale about Halloween night.

“Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, then flies off carrying everyone along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends—Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy—find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house,” according to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog.

In addition to fireworks, the new show will also feature projections, lasers, and lighting effects.

Select attractions to get Halloween enhancements

During the party multiple attractions around the Magic Kingdom will get Halloween themed enhancements. The monsters at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor will talk with visitors as they try to learn more about the holiday we humans call Halloween. Pirates of the Caribbean will feature live pirates in search of treasure, while Space Mountain will go “completely dark” and feature a new soundtrack.

Other activities guests can do at the party is the Hocus Pocus Villain Spellacular, Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade, the Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball and the Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam.

Visitors will also be able to trick-or-treat throughout Magic Kingdom.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights from August 16 to November 1.
