With the transformation of Disney’s Hollywood Studios almost complete as of now, the first phase of enhanced security checkpoints have opened at the park ahead of the new land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, opening August 29, 2019.
Like mentioned above, this is the first phase, the second phase is already underway. This will include moving the circular center piece currently in the front of the old security checkpoint. This will be relocated somewhere most likely in front of the new checkpoints.
All of this construction, the Disney Skyliner, and the new bus stops is an effort by Disney to make the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge run more smoothly.
