As many of you know, Walt Disney World is a place for the entire family. But the fact of the matter is that there are height requirements for children in order for them to get on the ride. This of course is for safety measures to keep everyone safe. We know that it can be a bummer for a child not to be able to go on a ride, but you can click here and see a full list of the best rides for you and your children to ride together.




Here are the height requirements for Walt Disney World attractions at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Keep in mind if the attraction you’re looking for doesn’t show up, then there is no height requirement for that particular attraction.

Magic Kingdom

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 40″ (102 cm)
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – 38″ (97 cm)
  • Space Mountain – 44″ (113 cm)
  • Splash Mountain (CLOSED FOR RETHEMING) – 40″ (102 cm)
  • The Barnstormer – 35″ (89 cm)
  • Tomorrowland Speedway – 32″ (81 cm)
  • TRON Lightcycle Run – 48″ (122 cm)

Epcot

  • Mission: Space – 40″ (102 cm)
  • Soarin’ – 40″ (102 cm)
  • Test Track – 40″ (102 cm)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – 42″ (107 cm)




Disney’s Hollywood Studios

  • Alien Swirling Saucers – 32″ (81 cm)
  • Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – 48″ (122 cm)
  • Slinky Dog Dash – 38″ (97 cm)
  • Star Tours – 40″ (102 cm)

Now of course, besides the height requirement you should always check the outside of the ride for the posted information about the rides. Many rides have restrictions that advise pregnant women, people with heart problems, etc. to not go on the rides. If you have any questions, ask a cast member and they will be happy to help you.
