There are plenty of brand new attractions coming to Disney World in the coming years. Here’s a full list of what’s coming to Disney World!
EPCOT
“Guardians of the Galaxy” Attraction
Formally Ellen’s Energy Adventure ride, that building will now be used as the queue for the new Guardians of the Galaxy’s attraction and a brand new show building is being constructed, so big that it can fit 4 Space Ship Earths in the building.
This coaster will be one of the longest indoor roller coasters in the world and will tell a story at the same time rather than just throwing up tracks and calling it a day. The new attraction will open in time for the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort in 2021.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
As Epcot goes through a major renovation, part of this renovation includes Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! This new attraction will be in the France Pavilion, where guests will shrink down to the size of Remy and his friends as they scurry around in Gusteau’s kitchen.
This new attraction is set to open by 2021!
MAGIC KINGDOM
Tron Roller Coaster
Progress for the Tron Light Cycle Roller Coaster in underway! Check out our construction updates page for Tron by clicking here. This attraction is already open at Shanghai Disneyland, and was such a success that they’re bringing it to Orlando!
The TRON attraction is set to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.
DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is Disney’s very first ride dedicated to the dynamic duo ever! Not much is known on this ride other than Disney says it’s using a new technology called 2 1/2 D and the ride will be a trackless ride.
Based on the Mickey shorts will debut in Spring of 2020 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run
When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens August 29, 2019 Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will let you climb into the cockpit of “the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” to take full control of the ship, acting in one of three roles: pilot, flight engineer, or gunner. This attraction will open in when Galaxy’s Edge opens on August 29!
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is set to open in later in 2019. As new Resistance recruits, you will join a climactic battle against the First Order, including a run-in with Kylo Ren. Their journey will take you inside a full-size starship and aboard a nearby Star Destroyer.
Disney continues to say that this ride is the most technologically advanced ride that they or anyone has ever built before.
FastPasses will not be available for Smugglers Run when the new land opens. Disney says that they will continuously evaluate the operations and services of the land to make sure guests are always happy.
