The Walt Disney World Resort has announced changes to the Disney Park Pass Reservation system. These changes (mentioned below) will take place starting August 23, 2022.
The user interface (UI) will be updated across all ticket types for all Walt Disney World guests. This new UI will match systems like those already in use at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. All guests will now use the same Disney Park Pass Reservation system. This is a change from how things happen today where Annual Passholders and multi-day ticket holders use a different interface and system.
Existing Park Pass reservations will migrate to the new system without a need for any action by the guest.
Next, Park Passes will be tied to a ticket and not a guest. This means that guests can have different ticket types (eg. Annual Pass, day ticket) and choose which ticket they would like to assign a Park Pass reservation to.
Guests may book Park Pass reservations for all ticket and pass types in a single transaction. Guests will also be able to book Park Pass reservations for up to 30 guests in a single transaction (the previous limit was 12 guests).
Another big change is that all guests will now have the modify option for their Disney Park Pass reservations. Guests will no longer need to cancel a Park Pass reservation before making a change to their selection.
Guests unfortunately must still make Disney Park Pass reservations via the Disney World website and still does not offer booking through the My Disney Experience app.
