Disney has now begun the process to send out cancellation emails to guests who booked a stay at the resorts through mid-May.
New reports now show that emails are going out for guests with reservations up to May 16th, 2020.
In the email, guests are given the options to change or cancel the resort reservation up to their original check-in date. However if the guests takes no action by then, Disney will automatically process a refund.
Disney seems to be wanting to circle a June reopening with June 1st being the earliest that guests can make new reservations for at this time. That being said, California governor Gavin Newsom recently made statements that put a summer reopening very much in question. However before the statewide and nationwide closures, Disneyland was exempt from the limit on crowds.
