You heard that right! Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ has already surpassed the $1 Billion mark. This of course is not the company’s first $1 Billion movie this year. Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, and Aladdin all have surpassed $1 Billion at the box office.
Overall this is the 41st film to reach the Billion Dollar Club of movies for Disney.
This truly feels like a Disney movie year. The company still has some movies in its future for this year, however. In October, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, in November, Frozen II, and in December, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. These movies are predicted to be massive hits and really earn some big bucks!
